The Purse 4 2010!!

I was looking on greerdragway.com and noticed we will be running for more mullah this year. I want to thank and applaud(I think I spelled it right-too big of a word for me)Mike and crew for stepping up to the plate & sweetening the pot. I don't think we as racers will mind paying a little more @ the gate when you know you will be running for $1500. I also want to point out that he raised the rnd. money to $20/rnd. starting 1st rnd. Mike Greer has & is putting up,so all these people talking about they would come back if the track was better and more recently people saying if he paid more money we would come.........well peeps he has took care of both issues. I believe it is now time to shut up & put all our excuses away,and lets flood the gates, support him, and make 2010 one for all of us to remember.......WHHOOOOOOOAAAAAA!!!!!!

I just wanted to let you all know how much we appreciate your support, I know we don't tell you that enough, but we really do. We did sit down and read all the suggestions you posted on here. We took some of them into consideration when deciding on a new purse already. I made some notes on some of the others. Anytime you have suggestions just let me know. I can't promise we can make every suggestion happen, but it does help to hear them.

I like it!!!! I also appreciate the fact that you look at the racers concerns also, and like you said it may not always happen or make everybody happy but atleast the ideas are addressed. I appreciate all that Mike, Alisha, and staff have made the commitment to for the future of Greer Dragway...like Sticks said the excuses are dwindling away.

I am looking forward to the 2010 Season. I do have a question....with the normal 1st practice Saturday only a couple weeks away, is everything on schedule?? I know it was suggested if a "voluntary work day" was needed to help with anything, I would be willing to volunteer on a Saturday. Just don't want to be in the way but I can be a "gopher"!!

We are suppose to open Feb. 20th for Test and Tune. This rain is not helping things but its coming together. Chad you can't take away my job as the gopher. lol Sunday I felt like either a gopher or a surgical assistant handing "tools" to the doctor.
I keep reminding him that everyone is willing to help us get ready. All he needs to do is say the word.

As everybody has said already i like the new purse and wanna say how much i appreciate everything Mike and Alisha and the hole Greer Dragway Crew has done over the many years and especially over this past winter. Also as Lizzard said and i know ive already told Alisha but im willing 2 help do anything that i possibly can 2 get this place ready!!! Now the biggest thing us racers need 2 do is 2 keep spreading the word 2 everybody about the new track and payout and try 2 fill the place up!!!

I just got a few more suggestions and i think this has been said b4 but i think that the buy run should go 2 the best reaction time from the round b4 and use that rule in all the classes 2 keep the confusion down. Lastly i know many years ago that Low ET in open and closed body used 2 pay money-i was thinking what if u just gave the low et a free entry but it has 2 b used the following week or rather than doing that and only giving the fast cars a shot how bout doing a hard luck award in every class-If u lose 1st rnd buy back and lose again put everybodys name in a hat and draw out one name and give them a free entry but has 2 b used the following week. Do that 4 all the classes and that want just b 4 the fast cars anybody would b capable of winning that if they didnt win a round.

Looks good to me! We appreciate everything thats being done to make 2010 a great year for the racers. That says a lot that the suggestions not only were read but changes were made.


Now like others have said..... NO WHINING! Be thankfull we have a place to race every weekend and lets have fun!!!

A Hard Luck Award! Shane I think you've got a great idea there. I should be able to win that one a regular basis!

I think I can say for all the racers up my way that we do appreciate all Mike has done to make Greer the place to race in 2010!

Yea David i fig i would b a name they can put in permanently 4 the hard luck award!!! Just a idea i thought that could help out if u have a bad week where u may get 2 race free the following week.
